The GEMAT 430 NS is a stainless-steel submersible pump with float-switch for automatic level control operation.
It is used in sump pump chambers for general drainage, wastewater & sewage water handling with a solids passage of up to 10mm.
Applications include draining wells, garages, cellars or places subject to flooding.
Wastewater Treatment System & Septic Tank Pump
Frequently, the GEMAT 430 NS is installed as a submersible pump in domestic wastewater treatment systems and septic tanks to discharge treated effluent to the subsoil polishing filter or percolation area.
The GEMAT 430 NS submersible pump is suitable for most domestic wastewater treatment systems in Ireland including the below:
(when replacing a pump, please check the technical details on the label of the existing pump and compare with the above. Assistance is available.)
- Bio-Crete
- Biodisc
- Biogreen (6 & 8 PE)
- Biokast
- Biotech
- Biocycle
- Chieftain (8 & 12 PE)
- Enviropak
- Klargester
- Oakstown BAF Domestic WWTS (6 & 8 PE)
- Platinum | Bord Na Mona
- Puraflo | Bord Na Mona
- Septech 2000
- Streamline BAF
- Titan / Envirocare
- Tricel (selected systems only)
At installations where the percolation area is not located in close proximity to the wastewater treatment system or septic tank, a larger submersible pump may be required.
A wastewater treatment system as well as a septic tank requires a functional & reliable effluent pump in the final chamber in order to continue to operate. Replacing the septic tank pump is therefore usually an urgent matter, as system backlog and potential overflowing with contamination to the surrounding ground area should be avoided.
Regular maintenance of your wastewater treatment system or septic tank & good practice ensure sufficient treatment levels in the final effluent chamber. This is also important in order to achieve a satisfactory lifespan of the submersible pump.
A general guideline to wastewater treatment systems & servicing, including replacement of the submersible effluent pump, is available for download in pdf-Format:
GUIDE – Wastewater Treatment Systems
Non-return flap valve - included as standard
The non-return flap valve can be easily included to the pump discharge when fitting the pipe coupler. The non-return flap valve prevents water within the pipe from re-entering the pump and sump chamber after the pumping cycle has ended. This can significantly reduce the number of pump starts, especially in smaller sump chambers with less volume.
The non-return flap valve should not be included, if the discharge pipe is located in an environment subject to frost or sub-zero freezing temperatures.
Quality Components
Submersible pumps used numerously on a daily basis require quality components to ensure realiability and a long pump lifespan.
THE GEMAT 430 NS has robust stainless steel components, a mechanical seal (Ceramic/Carbon/NBR) as well as a glassfibre-reinforced impeller, diffuser & motor-cover in technopolymer.
The GEMAT 430 NS submersible sump pump is suitable for continuous duty operation.
